Nido21 Egenti 5c Manifesto

Prince Egenti declares his 5s Manifesto for Nido21 Elections

Visionary leaders are known afar off from the simplicity and all encompassing roadmap, as the saying goes, *"show me a manifesto and I will tell you the success or not of the aspirant".*

My successor plan is unambiguously encapsulated in the self-developed model.

*My 5 C's mandate:*

1. Continuity

2. Capacity building

3. Competency

4. Capability

5. Collaborations & Inclusions

*1.* Continuity: Government is a continuing element. I come with the mandate to raise the stalks of the good work for NIDO UK South, already executed by Hon. Barr. Sir Chibuzo Ubochi. If elected as Chairman, there will be no interuption of great work already on going with various committees; Ambassadors, Covid-19 relief committee,  more mobilisation for the sake of driving home awareness of Diaspora Day will be a priority; all inclusiveness and fair playing ground for individual-led projects as well as pushing forth the frontiers of Diaspora voting through effective lobbying of the National Assembly and the presidency for signing of same when passed. Hon Barr Sir Chibuzo Ubochi has done exceptionally great for Nido UK South, there is the need to continue from where he stopped. In another 3 weeks from today. An english proverb says, when it's not broken, why mend it. Under my administration as the Chairman if elected, my Team and I would continue with his visions and goals for a greater NIDO UK South, we shall ensure that Diaspora Day is organised and patronised annually while NIDO UK South would be ably represented and take the lead as usual, empower more both in the UK and Nigeria, create an enabling environment for all and sundry on individual led projects for homeland development.

*2.* Capacity building: The greatest investment still remains investing in humans as this act empowers them to attain the zenith in their chosen endeavour. If elected, I hope to liaise with relevant training entities to train or order to spur innate competencies in our members who will in return train new members. This will to a greater extent, reduce over-dependence and over reliance on outsiders while at the same time, making members to take action on local issues. When minds are built, the sky becomes a stepping stone to heights humans can achieve. Under my leadership as the Chairman, we would define our primary task, work towards achieving that without losing focus. A clear definition of our primary task can help members and stakeholders identify with NIDO, which provides a focus to decision making and a benchmark for judging whether a project or new idea aligns with our strategy.

*3.* Competence: Under my leadership, we shall adopt a competence- based approach to better identify and develop a generation of leaders who can be relied upon at anytime and anywhere to deliver on difficult task with high level of efficiency. We shall combine this approach with skills development to promote better leadership. We shall lead, develop and achieve  successes together. One for all, and all for one. As someone who has actively followed activities of NIDO across Europe and beyond, I am convinced that I have the experience, competence and ability to succeed Barr Sir Chibuzo Ubochi. As a good leader I will encourage inclusive leadership style so as to identify predictable situation of NIDO members across board and find corrective measures to tackle them. I will collate all information that is presented to me by NIDO members, understand the importance of such information, make sound decisions among provided choices and also understand the potential impact of their decisions. It is observed from School of thought which asserted loudly and clearly, that a person is eligible to hold a position of authority if he is mentally sound, capable and also holds the requisite quality to run for a position of office. Fellow Nigerians in Diaspora organisation UK South members, I am a Nigerian, currently the Treasurer, an Exco member of NIDO under the able leadership of Bar. Sir Chibuzo Ubochi. I can convincingly inform you that I am capable and 100 percent qualify to contest the position of NIDO UK South Chairmanship 2021 position. Experience they say is the best and greatest teacher.

*4.* Capability: I present myself a one leader who will be able and willing to learn, be courageous, tackle difficulty and question the status quo. I will make decisions with clarity and unambiguity if it is to the benefits of NIDO UK South. The opinion of how other members think will always be harnessed for more result oriented outcomes. Why collaboration is said to be key to achieving success and meaningful Development, as Chairman of NIDO UK South, I will continue to maintain a collaborative understanding with the Nigerian Government, NIDCOM our parent body, National Assembly as evidently proven in our *A week in & for Nigeria* with Senators, House of Representatives, Ministers and the committees set up by the present leadership to ensure that it's aims, missions and visions is achieved. NIDO UK South under my leadership will also continue its Corporate Social Responsibility, a give back to society initiated by Bar. Sir Chibuzo Ubochi's administration. Building partnership models which are long lasting, scalable and transformative, and which create shared values will be key to my leadership if elected into office

*5.* Collaborations & Inclusions: If elected as the Chairman, myself and my team will always work together across other sectors to make decisions and keep NIDO UK south thriving and as always the pace setter in Europe while others follow. Ours will be a leadership that mentors other members to adopt the strategy of working together even in their respective project for better results. Leading alone, I can only go a mile but together, we can harness the power of togetherness and work thousands of kilometers, breaking boundaries, limits and bettering our lives. On inclusion, my choice of a female Vice-Chair is a testament to my commitment on inclusion to women and the youths. "I have anchored my campaigns on youths and women. I am youthful and was looking out for a woman with the right combination of integrity, substance, and competence which is one amongst my 5 C mandate. I was also looking out for someone who is known and has electoral value and I found that in Hon Mrs. Susan Nguveren Waya, a great woman of substance. Our youth hold the Key to Unlocking our National greatness. Nigerian youths hold the ace to creating "a future that all Nigerians can be proud of".

"Inside every one of our youth's is the greatness we need to change our story. Our responsibility as leaders is to inspire, create an enabling environment, and empower the young ones. Nigerian youths are natural pacesetters. This is evident in the global exploits they have made in the entertainment world and IT literacy. A Nigerian youth, Burna Boy, just won a Grammy Award for an album he produced in Nigeria. "Our youths are unleashing their genius in an industry with little or zero government support. Imagine what they would do if they had the right leaders. With these in mind, I have already pencilled down some youths to work with if given the opportunity to serve as your Chairman.

God bless Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation UK South.

With a bang 2020 will go down in history as the year that everything is not as it seems anymore. Covid19 was meant to be an exclusive  Wuhan, capital city of Hubei Province, China epidemic but ohh no!!

The Humble life saving Mask

Covid has slowly and surely taken over the world. And I mean literally take over country by country, land, sea, air. Covid brought life as we know it to a stand still. While we are still grappling with this new world order, pandemic, lockdown etc etc let's talk about air. The very oxygen we breath the breath of life, the vehicle of covid19 droplets, fumes, respiratory, asphyxiation,  danger and ventilation.

We are still on lockdown and while world experts, epidemiologists, virologists, world leaders, school teachers, key workers, front line staff the military commander etc grapple how to get the world out of lockdown the most unlikely ally the mask has come to the rescue albeit awaiting a vaccine and/or treatment for the dreaded .covid19. The Mask. The UK Government recently agreed a deal with technology company Honeywell to manufacture 70 million face masks for frontline workers.
